多年来，公司致力于自主研发能力的提高，建立了山东省特种车辆工程技术研究中心。中心拥有高中级技术人员58人，客座研究人员12人，与国内外100多家大专院校、科研院所、生产厂家建立了广泛的产学研结合。中心除直接服务于公司外，面向社会提供技术咨询、培训服务。 The company commits itself to the promotion of independent research and development ability in many years, and establishes research center for engineering of special vehicle. Comprising 58 technicians at senior and medium grade and 12 guest researchers, the center makes extensive combination in production, study and research with many domestic and oversea colleges, scientific research institutes and manufactures. It serves for the company directly as well as provides technical consultation and training service for the society.   

2012年，公司获得了“中国专利山东明星企业”荣誉称号；中集东岳是山东省第一家危险化学品包装物、容器定点生产单位；是中国专用车产业基地第一家通过9000和CCC认证的企业；是中国专用汽车产业基地第一家取得山东名牌产品、著名商标的企业，是山东省第一家获得碳钢罐生产许可证的企业；是山东省第一家获得铝合金罐车生产许可证的企业；是行业内第一家建设4S维修和服务店的生产企业。
